Chocolate and peppermint? Yes please! Vanilla and peppermint? YES PLEASE! These run a close race as my favorite with the pumpkin spice cupcakes! I just love how biting into one of these flavors takes be back to all Christmas seasons!
My dad is a fireman, my uncle is a fireman, and my husband is in school to be a fireman.....so I've seen my share of fire helmets! So for the fire district family bbq this year, I had to do one better than the fire truck from last year! I borrowed an actual fire helmet from a station and went to work...I was very happy with the results!
It's A...BABY! I finally convinced on of my friends to not spill the beans on the sex of their baby right out of the Dr's office! They had to wait 3 whole days to tell their family and friends, but the reaction after everyone bit into a cake pop at the same time was priceless. She later came up to me and said it was totally worth the wait! What a great expericence that was.
Oh, and it's a BOY!!!
I think everytime I do a new theme, that cake becomes my new favorite cake! I was so excited when this one was ordered....3 months ago! I was really looking forward to making this and spent alot of time thinking about how I would do every detail. It turned out better than I had imagined.
When this bride first came to me I was a little worried about how this one would turn out. All she said was "all colors, like the rainbow, plus pink". We finally sat down after emailing back and forth for months...and what we came up with was amazing! This is one of my favorite wedding cakes.
This bride loves all things gold! All the liners for her cupcakes were gold or lace, with golden or 'vintage'-y styled decor on top. The cake for the bride and groom is classic buttercream with roses I made as the topper. This was one of my favorite set ups so far. I love how the cupcakes, cake, and stands all flowed so well together. Even my little tags for all the flavors fit the decor perfectly!
I love a good challenge...and this one was certainly a challenge! But the end result was worth any bit of panick I may have had! I have to say, if I were making cake when I got married, THIS would have been my cake!
This was my first request for an all buttercream wedding cake. I have to say, this one was a bit of a challege at first...but then I figured it out and I just love this technique. And the look of it is so elegant.
This adorable cake was for the birthday party of two very sweet little sisters. I just happen to watch these two girls full time during the school year....and I love when it comes time for thier birthdays! S
